Late last summer, my wonderful Mother-in-Law called me to let me know that there was an owl in our woods. I had heard owls since we moved here, but I haven’t been able to locate them. Being a chicken owner, of course gives me pause since, owls are known to eat chickens, but I am also a lover of all things wildlife, so I was happy to locate this guy. (about 100 feet from my chicken coop…)
I must say here that I am a terrible wildlife photographer! I tend to get all excited and forget all about things like exposure, and aperture and even composition. Things like flowers and barns are very patient and let me photograph them for hours, while wildlife tends to walk/crawl/fly away! I would love to get better at this, and this very polite guy waited patiently for me while I panicked as I usually do, fumbled around and then calmed down enough to remember what I was doing!
Thank you Mister Owl! (or is it Misses?)
Enjoy the photos!
